TA attented the RRFM 2025 conference

15 April 2025

The RRFM scientific conference, the “European Research Reactor Conference,” was held this year in France, in Aix-en-Provence, from April 6 to 10.

Organized by the ENS (European Nuclear Society), the 2025 edition of the RRFM conference brought together more than 200 researchers, as well as international plant operators and industry representatives. TA was a member of the RRFM conference program committee and showcased its expertise through several presentations.

Two programs in the spotlight

Since 2017, TA has been contributing to the development of an alternative fuel to replace the Russian-sourced fuel for the LVR15 reactor, located in the Czech Republic. This development, initiated as part of the LEU Forever project, is continuing through the EU-Conversion project, for which funding has been approved by the European Commission to diversify fuel supply sources for European research reactors.

TA is also collaborating with the CEA on the Jules Horowitz reactor, currently under construction at the Cadarache site. Capable of both producing radioisotopes for medical use and conducting a wide variety of experiments, the RJH will be a cutting-edge tool for global nuclear research. In addition to the conference, TA co-organized, together with the CEA, tours of the RJH construction site for some twenty participants from around the world.

For several years now, TA has encouraged active participation in conferences and the publication of scientific papers to help raise the profile of its experts.
