Adaptation to Climate Change

Decarbonization and adaptation to climate change are two priority areas of our CSR roadmap. The roadmap sets out five objectives: to reduce Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 20% (see infographic), limit business travel emissions to 0.5 tCO2eq per employee per year, limit commuting emissions to 2 tCO2eq per employee per year, and ensure that 80% of our suppliers with the highest emissions are committed to a decarbonization strategy. More than 90% of our emissions come from Scope 3.

Beyond managing its operations as an industrial operator of nuclear facilities—which require risk prevention processes and dedicated systems for waste and effluent management—TechnicAtome integrates environmental considerations into all aspects of its business:

  • Buildings that meet the latest environmental standards
  • Integration of CSR criteria into the procurement process
  • A policy of cost-effective and low-carbon travel
  • Responsible waste management

Responsible Purchasing

Our Approach

It aims to establish a balanced and sustainable relationship with our suppliers based on mutual trust. TechnicAtome is a signatory to the government’s “Supplier Relations and Responsible Procurement” charter and, as such, has appointed:

  • A “Supplier Relations” mediator who facilitates and promotes dialogue and assists in the prevention and resolution of potential disputes
  • An SME liaison who can be contacted by suppliers

Our Purchasing Policy

Beyond technical quality and economic competitiveness, our buyers take four requirements into account:

  • The establishment of loyal, fair, and objective relationships
  • A balanced financial relationship
  • The integration of environmental, social, and regional responsibility considerations
  • The development of collaborative relationships with strategic suppliers.

Diversity

TechnicAtome is committed to diversity and equal opportunity.

Gender

Gender diversity is a key priority of our policy regarding employment and recruitment, internal mobility, compensation, equal opportunities in career paths, and technical recognition. The principle of equal treatment between women and men in terms of compensation for comparable work is a fundamental tenet of our approach.

Social Diversity

With a significant presence as an employer in the South region and as a provider of high-quality, sustainable jobs, TechnicAtome works with surrounding communities and educational institutions to promote diversity in its hiring practices.

Disabilities

TechnicAtome is committed to the recruitment, professional integration, training, and continued employment of people with disabilities. Our company offers support for workplace accommodations and funding for personal equipment.
