A Research Reactor with Many Advantages

The Jules Horowitz Reactor (RJH) is a strategic experimental reactor for the nuclear industry. Currently under construction at the CEA Cadarache site, this experimental facility will be used to deepen our understanding of how materials behave under irradiation. The RJH will also be used in nuclear medicine for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes. It will produce, on average, 25% of the European Union’s annual demand for radioelements.

our role
