On April 4, 2024, Chief of Naval Staff Nicolas Vaujour declared the Duguay-Trouin submarin e—the second in the Barracuda program— ready for active service.
The Duguay-Trouin has reached the final milestone, marking its official entry into service with the submarine forces. The first test run of its propulsion system, designed and built by TechnicAtome, took place in September 2022.
