2018 financial results
27 March 2019
The TechnicAtome Board of Directors met on March 26, 2019, to approve the financial statements for the 2018 fiscal year ended December 31.
With revenue of €398 million (€372 million in 2017), operating income growing to €57 million (€48 million in 2017), and an order backlog that remains at a level corresponding to nearly three years of business, TechnicAtome exceeded all of its financial targets in 2018. On the operational front, the company achieved significant successes, driven by its numerous civil and military projects and favorable outlook.
To support this activity, TechnicAtome recruited new employees in 2018 across all its engineering, operations, and maintenance divisions, increasing its workforce by nearly 10% to 1,600 employees.
The commissioning of the Cadarache test reactor for the CEA’s Military Applications Directorate, on the one hand, and the exemplary execution of the refurbishment and refueling operations for the nuclear reactors on the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle in Toulon, on the other, are two examples of major successes achieved by the company’s employees in 2018.
Two years after TechnicAtome was sold to a consortium of shareholders led by the Agence des Participations de l’Etat, the company is doing well. It has firmly established its independence and consolidated its position in serving its long-standing customers. “With its strong technical expertise, exceptional partners, and revitalized management, TechnicAtome is growing within the strategically promising context of the recent military programming law. We are approaching the challenges of 2019 and beyond with passion and great confidence,” said Loïc Rocard, CEO of TechnicAtome.
