Framatome and TechnicAtome announced the acquisition of Daher Valves

1 July 2024

On July 1st, Framatome and TechnicAtome have announced the acquisition of Daher Valves, a company belonging to the Daher Group. With the acquisition, the company is reverting to its original name “Vanatome” and unveiling its new logo. Vanatome is an industrail company that designs, manufactures and qualifies valves and fittings for the nuclear and defense sectors. This acquisition enables Framatome and TechnicAtome to consolidate their operations in their respective sectors.

” Vanatome is a strategic supplier to the nuclear industry and has well-known expertise in the manufacture and qualification of high-performance valves and fittings. This acquisition allows us to secure our supply chain and addresses the challenges of ensuring autonomy in activities essential to the civil nuclear and defense sectors” said Bernard Fontana, CEO of Framatome. “I would like to welcome the Vanatome teams.”

Vanatome designs, qualifies, and manufactures a wide range of valves and fittings intended for use in the primary and secondary circuits of nuclear power plants and in the nuclear propulsion systems of French Navy vessels.

“Vanatome is a long-standing partner and supplier of essential components for nuclear propulsion systems. We salute its employees and are excited to join Framatome in writing a new chapter in their history,” said Loïc Rocard, CEO of TechnicAtome.

“At a time when the revival of the nuclear industry requires greater specialization, we are convinced that the integration of Daher Valves into two leading French groups in the nuclear sector—Framatome and TechnicAtome, both long-standing strategic clients of Daher Valves—will multiply opportunities for its teams in this rapidly growing market. “These are all key assets for the success of this transaction,” said Didier Kayat, CEO of Daher.

Founded in 1978 and employing 120 people, Vanatome is based in Saint-Vallier (Drôme). Vanatome serves more than 150 customers in some 20 countries around the world.
