TA supports the naval academy and the GPEN regatta

Now a benchmark for the French Sailing Federation, the Naval Academy Grand Prix celebrated its 25th edition this year. Here’s a look back at this competition, which took place from May 14 to 16, still with support from TechnicAtome!

In 2026, the Naval Academy celebrated a double anniversary: the 25th anniversary of its regatta and the 400th anniversary of the French Navy. With its mix of competitions and festivities, the GPEN is now one of the largest gatherings of its kind in Europe. Every year during Ascension weekend, more than 900 sailors compete at sea in 13 categories spread across five venues, between the Crozon Peninsula and Brest.

Several French Championship titles for one-design cruising yachts are awarded, including the J80 category—the GPEN’s flagship class—in which the “TechnicAtome” competed. Congratulations to the five members of our crew who came from the Aix, Cadarache, and Saclay sites. As a sponsor of the GPEN, TechnicAtome was also invited to award a price.
