TechnicAtome meets future engineers
31 January 2023
TechnicAtome participated in 34 student career fairs in 2022, throughout France.
Having participated in 9 forums in 2018 and 27 in 2021, TechnicAtome is stepping up its outreach to engineering students to raise awareness of its various career paths. Attendance was high, thanks to the renewed momentum in the nuclear energy sector as well as the appeal of the career paths offered by TechnicAtome.
TA has the advantage of long-term visibility into its business volume, which allows students to envision their future within the company. A submarine represents 20 years of design and 40 years of operation, during which TechnicAtome plays an active role. The unique complexity of this industry makes the roles stimulating and attracts top talent. The diversity of its projects and the wide range of activities each employee can experience throughout their career are all assets that make TechnicAtome an attractive company. The opportunity to work in a design office while also carrying out assignments aboard ships is a unique feature that sets TA apart from other companies.
It was these strengths that more than 40 TechnicAtome engineers presented to students at the career fairs, sharing with them their experiences as recent graduates recruited by TechnicAtome and the richness of their professional journeys.
Since 2015, more than 950 people have been hired, bringing the workforce from approximately 1,400 to 1,900 employees by the end of 2022.
The 2023 Tour de France has already begun; TechnicAtome was in Toulon on January 19 to meet with students from ISEN and in Cherbourg on the 21st to meet with students from the nuclear engineering school (EAMEA, the School of Military Applications of Nuclear Energy).
