TechnicAtome participated in the EDF ConnexLab opening in Saclay

31 January 2018

On November 29, the ConnexLab—the nuclear industry’s digital innovation laboratory—was inaugurated at the EDF Lab site in Saclay.

The event, organized by EDF and its partners in the Connexity program (AREVA NP, TechnicAtome, SPIE Nucléaire, CEGELEC CSS, ATOS WorldGrid, ANSYS/Esterel, CORYS, and AFNET), brought together various stakeholders from across the nuclear industry: plant operators, engineering firms, design offices, and R&D centers.

The event began with several introductory remarks by Michel Maschi (Director in charge of engineering and production at EDF R&D), Loïc Rocard, CEO of TechnicAtome, Philippe Sauvard (Director of the I&C Business Unit at AREVA NP), and Catherine Devic (EDF R&D, Connexity Project Manager).

TechnicAtome is fully engaged in the development of many of the topics presented during the event, including digital models, simulation, digital mobility tools, configuration management through data centralization, and predictive maintenance through the systematic analysis of operational data. The event brought together more than 170 participants and provided an opportunity for stakeholders in the nuclear industry to exchange ideas through interactive presentations and demonstrations.
