TechnicAtome takes action to raise awareness about disabilities

During the European Disability Employment Week, TechnicAtome organized an awareness week focused on hearing impairments. Personal testimonials helped the company’s employees gain insight into this invisible disability and better understand the daily lives of their colleagues living with these conditions. Brief role-playing exercises and hearing tests were also offered.

In addition, for the third consecutive year, TechnicAtome sponsored the Algernon race in Marseille. Organized by the Algernon sports and cultural association, it is the largest national event bringing together able-bodied athletes and people with disabilities in a single competition, without distinction. The course is accessible to as many people as possible (ranging from a 5-km walk to a 15-km run). In a warm and supportive atmosphere, 7,600 participants lined up at the starting line, including 72 TA employees.

TechnicAtome has a corporate agreement promoting employment and professional integration. It commits management and labor representatives to recruitment, professional integration, training, and job retention for people with disabilities. 5.11% of its workforce consists of employees with disabilities. Over the past three years, TechnicAtome has supported more than 40 employees, particularly through acoustic modifications and noise reduction measures, as well as the funding of hearing aids.
