TechnicAtome is a partner of the French Navy’s 400th anniversary

In 2026, the French Navy will celebrate its 400th anniversary with events organized throughout France. On Tuesday, December 16, TechnicAtome stood alongside the French Navy and all its partners at the launch ceremony to support this year of festivities.

In 2026 numerous national ceremonies and celebrations will be held.  At regional “Youth and the Coast” events, the public will (re)discover the  ties between each region and the French Navy. The goal is to raise awareness of the Navy’s history, its jobs and related technological innovations, as well as maritime environmental and strategic challenges.

TA, a long-standing partner of the Navy and a sponsor of the 400th-anniversary celebrations, will contribute to the event to be held in Aix-en-Provence in June. TechnicAtome will present its activities and careers in nuclear propulsion.

TA is also a sponsor of the National Maritime Museum, supporting in particular the “Profondeurs” exhibition, which will take visitors on a journey through the history of underwater exploration and work, across eras and oceans.

Why 2026 ?

It was under Richelieu’s leadership that a Royal Navy— permanent, unified, and organized—was established with the signing of the Edict of Saint-Germain in October 1626.
