TechnicAtome is sponsor of the Marine national museum renovation

6 July 2020

On Friday, July 3, 2020, Loïc Rocard, Chairman and CEO of TechnicAtome, and Vincent Campredon, Commissioner General of the Navy and Director of the National Maritime Museum, signed a three-year sponsorship agreement (2020–2022).

TechnicAtome thus joins the circle of “renovation sponsors” for the museum’s site located in the Palais de Chaillot in Paris, ahead of its scheduled reopening in 2022. As part of this extensive architectural and museographic renovation, a gallery in the new exhibition itinerary will explore the theme of “France as a Naval Power: Power and Innovation.”
TechnicAtome, whose core business is the design and construction of shipboard nuclear reactors for the propulsion of French Navy vessels, has offered to partner with the National Maritime Museum by providing financial support for the exhibition design of the spaces dedicated to technological advancements. In particular, an educational animated film explaining how nuclear propulsion works for French Navy vessels will be produced, for which TechnicAtome will provide the museum with its scientific expertise and technical content.

Loïc Rocard, CEO of TechnicAtome: “Contributing to the museum’s renovation is a natural step for our company, given the role it has played for half a century in serving the French Navy. We are very pleased to have been able to finalize this sponsorship agreement. Through it, our goal is also to spark the general public’s curiosity about the benefits of the French nuclear industry in the service of naval propulsion and world peace.
