TechnicAtome participated in Brest Naval Science Day

19 February 2018

This year, the Naval Academy organized the 13th edition of the Naval Science Day (JSN), with the theme “Design and Numerical Simulation: Solutions to Maritime Challenges,” under the direction of Captain Eric Pagès, Commandant and Director General of the Naval Academy.

Aimed at promoting scientific education and research conducted at the Naval Academy’s Research Institute (IRENav), this event allowed TechnicAtome, as an exhibitor, to present the company’s activities and strengthen its ties with the Naval Academy.

On this occasion, François Bourquin (Head of the Brest Branch) represented TechnicAtome and mentored two groups of cadets who completed a three-month internship at the company in the fall of 2017.
JSN, a scientific day with an educational focus, is one of the Naval Academy’s major events. It brings together nearly 400 participants—including cadets, defense professionals, academics, and industry representatives—once a year, with the goal of helping cadets better understand the challenges they will face in their future careers.
