TechnicAtome took part in the Naval science day in Brest

31 January 2020

On January 30, 2020, the 15th edition of Naval Sciences Day, held at the Naval Academy in Brest, focused on Maintenance in Operational Condition (MOC) and Innovation.

This event, featuring a series of presentations and an exhibitor forum, provided TechnicAtome with an opportunity to showcase its activities through a presentation on the future of the field technician. Hubert Guillermain, a human factors expert, explained how TechnicAtome works to improve operators’ daily lives through various technologies such as tablets, augmented reality, and 3D scanning.

On this occasion, the project by two cadet officers—who completed a three-month internship at the company on the topic “Modeling the external reactor vessel cooling system in a severe accident scenario”—was showcased at the TechnicAtome booth.

JSN, a scientific conference with an educational focus, is one of the Naval Academy’s major events. Held annually since 2006, it brings together more than 200 participants (cadets, defense professionals, academics, and industry representatives) with the goal of raising cadets’ awareness of the research and innovation challenges they will face in their future careers.
