TechnicAtome participated in the ConnexLab 2nd anniversary
10 June 2019
ConnexLab, the nuclear industry’s digital innovation laboratory, celebrated its second anniversary on June 7—an opportunity for EDF and its partners in the Connexity program to bring together various stakeholders from the nuclear sector.
The day began with a plenary session highlighting digital innovation as central to the evolution of the nuclear industry, during which Olivier HUET, Deputy CEO, outlined TechnicAtome’s vision, opening up new prospects for the innovation lab.
A display area showcasing the prototypes developed as part of the Connexity program was set up, allowing Hubert GUILLERMAIN (DEOI) to present ERGOTOOLS through applications developed in the engineering and innovation workshop dedicated to the operation of compact nuclear reactors. The ERGOTOOLS tablet was also demonstrated on a full-scale “Immersive Construction Site” prototype featuring a valve produced via additive manufacturing based on a SPIE design, a 3D scanning and modeling station for the Cattenom reactor unit (EDF), augmented reality (FRAMATOME), and an interactive voice assistant (Simsoft).
Our colleagues from the Engineering Division, Ouardia KASSTTAR and Rémy BLATGE, presented the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) prototyping workshop, which is directly linked to the simulator and was developed in collaboration with other program members.
