TechnicAtome renews its partnership with INSTN

2 June 2021

On Monday, May 31, 2021, Loïc Rocard, CEO of TechnicAtome, and Eric Gadet, Director of INSTN, signed an amendment to the agreement that has linked the two entities since 2018, thereby extending the term of their partnership for three years.

The purpose of this agreement is to foster collaboration between INSTN, which trains engineers specializing in nuclear engineering, and TechnicAtome, a specialist in compact nuclear reactors.

With five locations in France, including Saclay (Essonne) and Cadarache (Bouches-du-Rhône), INSTN is one of the nuclear engineering training centers with which TechnicAtome has maintained long-standing relationships. Since 2012, TechnicAtome has hosted two interns from this institution each year and plans to increase that number to six for the start of the 2021 academic year in September.

This partnership is intended to foster discussion on tailoring the curriculum to TechnicAtome’s skill needs and includes the participation of instructors in training sessions, such as by offering “hands-on” modules designed for the Nuclear Engineering program.

As part of this partnership, TechnicAtome will sponsor the 2021–2022 class of the Nuclear Engineering program, and Loïc Rocard will deliver the inaugural lecture for the Nuclear Engineering program on October 5. Loïc Rocard: “Many of our employees received the outstanding education offered by the Nuclear Engineering program at INSTN during their youth. The relationship we maintain with this distinguished institution is a mutually beneficial and fruitful partnership. We contribute our expertise and methods, and in return, we gain brilliant interns who come to work on exciting projects.”
