5 October 2021
On Tuesday, October 5, Loïc Rocard, CEO of TechnicAtome, delivered the inaugural lecture to the new class of the Nuclear Engineering program at INSTN.
Speaking on the topic of nuclear propulsion and small reactors, Loïc Rocard addressed the67thclass of students for an hour in the main auditorium at Saclay. Attended by Eric Gadet, director of INSTN, and François Jacq, chief administrator of the CEA, this event marked a symbolic moment for the engineering students, who—through their high level of education and their career choices—embody the future of nuclear energy in France. It was also an opportunity to introduce the world of TechnicAtome to a pool of potential employees.
Loïc Rocard: “The relationship we have maintained for several years with INSTN regarding the Nuclear Engineering program is an essential thread for us. This program is a hallmark of excellence and national commitment, and we are proud to help sustain it. ” The inaugural “ ” session is part of TechnicAtome’s sponsorship of the 2021–2022 class, which includes nearly 80 students. It will include various other activities organized throughout the year, including—in addition to tours of some of our facilities and construction sites—presentations to the Saclay and Cadarache student cohorts to introduce our professions, offer internships, conduct job interview preparation workshops, and host after-work gatherings between students and our former GA colleagues.
