TechnicAtome training center opening

25 March 2019

On March 21, the TechnicAtome Training Center was inaugurated in the presence of 70 guests and trainers. “It was a wonderful opportunity to bring together some of the key players in training at TechnicAtome in a setting well-suited to both delivering and receiving instruction,” said Arnaud Jeanneret, Head of the Training Center.

This shared training resource center is registered as a professional training organization and is part of the Technical Mastery Department within the Technical and Innovation Division (DTI). It is responsible for educational engineering (course design) and the delivery of training programs, primarily in the areas of “Pressurized Vessel (PN) Techniques and Technologies,” “Design Engineering,” “Nuclear Safety” (safety, radiation protection, quality, etc.), “Project Methods and Management” (systems engineering, PLM, SLI, configuration management, etc.), and “Experimental Reactors” (in partnership with INSTN).

It enables TechnicAtome to conduct:
• internal training programs as part of the employee skills development plan, for the benefit of the Human Resources Department, as well as specific training courses to support product lines, projects, and operations (for example, customized training for the Barracuda, RES, or ATM2 tests)
• as well as external training programs for the French Navy, government agencies (CEA, DGA, Naval Group, IRSN), and our partners and subcontractors.

This inauguration is an opportunity for the Training Center team to thank the trainers—both regular and substitute—from all TechnicAtome business lines, who, through their availability, support, and the quality of their instruction, actively contribute to the development of our employees’ skills.

In 2018, the Center hosted 1,476 trainees across 149 training sessions (totaling 310 training days) and is preparing to welcome no fewer than 1,600 trainees in 2019 for approximately 160 sessions (totaling 350 training days). “I am pleased that with this new building, we now have a facility that is both practical and up to the challenges that training poses for TechnicAtome’s present and future,” emphasized Christian Ratié during his inauguration speech.
