The Sincrone project is selected by France Relance in the maritime industries sector
13 May 2024
The Sincrone project is one of 12 winners in the maritime industries category that will benefit from the “France Relance” program, which aims to support technological and industrial innovation in key sectors. TechnicAtome is partnering with Naval Group (the lead partner), EDF, and three other technological and academic partners to enhance the performance of shipyards and nuclear facilities.
Sincrone—which stands for Innovative Digital Solutions for Responsive and Optimized Shipyards in the Naval and Nuclear Sectors—is the future platform that will provide with real-time access to reliable data on the physical progress of a shipyard project. The project draws on the latest digital innovations, such as real-time site visualization, 3D scanning, and production scenario simulation.
Manufacturers stand to gain numerous benefits from this single source of data. Ensuring data continuity will facilitate compliance reporting for projects on new-build or maintenance shipyards, as well as the reliable and consolidated tracking of physical progress on the shipyard. This understanding of the project’s status will also be a significant asset for worker safety and coordination during periods of intense concurrent activity.
The goal for TA and Naval Group is to deploy this shared industrial solution to benefit nuclear propulsion programs.

France 2030 supports the entire innovation lifecycle through to industrialization. The plan is implemented by the French Agency for Ecological Transition (ADEME), the National Research Agency (ANR), Bpifrance, and the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC).
The Sincrone project was nominated to benefit from the France Relance program following a call for expressions of interest launched in late 2022 by CORIMER[1]. This organization is contributing to the government’s goal of strengthening innovation and training within the maritime industries.
The project is supported by GICAN, GIFEN, and CSFN.
