  • Perform studies of fluid system architecture, design, operation, and sizing complex fluid systems associated with reactors.
  • Perform studies related to containment and/or ventilation systems in nuclear facilities.

Activities related to the profession:
Guarantee design control and technical coordination of projects on the back end of the nuclear cycle and, in particular, in the field of radioactive waste management.
  • Manage studies on the back end of the nuclear cycle (dismantling and waste storage centre).
  • Carry out associated cross-cutting studies, particularly in the field of waste management and storage.

Activities related to the profession:

Deliver a structure in accordance with the specifications, within the deadlines and in compliance with the requirements in terms of quality, health, safety and the environment.

Achievements:
  • Helping to prepare production operations by giving the Project Manager the options for construction and assembly/integration, including a feasibility analysis of the master plan,
  • Proposing the allotment to the project manager (industrial policy, supply limits),
  • Managing drafting of tender documents,
  • Scheduling/planning, managing and coordinating the entire project: in-factory manufacturing, procurement, on-site construction and assembly/integration,
  • Structuring and coordinating procurement contracts, including contract management (pre-emptive claims management, response to company letters, process claim briefs).
Work sites:
  • Help to draw up the consultation file (site organization, regulations/site instructions, etc.)
  • Prepare and open the site
  • Greet the companies and enforce the site rules and general instructions
  • Manage/coordinate site logistics (including site secretariat and communication)
  • Structuring and coordinating procurement contracts, including contract management (pre-emptive claims management, response to company letters, process claim briefs).
  • Schedule/plan, manage and coordinate the construction, assembly/integration of processes, inspections and acceptance operations
  • Supervise service providers (including quality, respect for health and safety requirements, and respect for the environment)
  • Close the site.
Tests:
  • Draw up the General Test Programme in liaison with the architect of the structure
  • Schedule/plan, manage and coordinate testing.

General Installation
Activities related to the profession:

Optimize the design of the structure in accordance with functional needs and regulations.

  • Organize, coordinate and carry out general installation and layout studies of complex industrial or nuclear facilities, in collaboration with Architecture and Dismantling (comply with design principles and regulations, especially with regard to Health and Safety, and with Civil Engineering and Fluid, Mechanics, Electricity and I & C systems manufacturers
  • Arrange premises and traffic areas according to functional needs
  • Arrange and set up the equipment in the facility
  • Install the various networks (fluids, HVAC, electrical routes)
  • Guarantee coordination and consistency monitoring of the facility while it is being created (summative mission)

Civil engineering
Activities related to the profession:
Guarantee the design and supply of civil engineering structures that meet the requirements of the Projects.
In the design phases of the structure:
  • Manage the studies of the civil engineering section of the programmes
  • Carry out studies in civil engineering, roads and various networks
  • Manage the civil engineering design offices
  • Answer questions from the Safety Authorities when examining regulatory files
In the design phases of the structure:
  • Lead civil engineering construction work
  • Draw up company consultation documents
  • Manage construction contracts (as civil engineering operations manager)

Electrical Systems & Equipment
Activities related to the profession:
Guarantee control of electrical systems (networks, protection, energy management, electrical switchboards, converters, etc.) that supply all the systems, equipment and components of a facility (nuclear steam supply systems, LMJ experimental chambers, buildings and special test facilities, etc.).
  • Design electrical systems (architectures, functional and detailed studies, PMS, etc.)
  • Draw up specifications for equipment to be produced and monitor its production
  • Draw up the corresponding files (DD, DJD, etc.)
  • Ensure that electrical systems and equipment interact properly and are qualified
  • Manage on-site commissioning of systems and electrical equipment
  • Provide management in configuration
  • Assist Operational Maintenance
  • Provide a technological watch
